About this project

Image Toolbox is an Android image utility with tools for resizing, cropping, format conversion, filters, drawing, and EXIF editing. It supports batch workflows so several pictures can be prepared together, and includes background removal and watermarking. Users work through an application interface; compiling the repository is an alternative development path rather than a requirement for the distributed APKs.

The official releases provide APK packages for different processor architectures, including universal FOSS and Market variants. The repository documents a meaningful edition boundary: Market includes analytics, Crashlytics, and other Google dependencies; FOSS omits them and uses different engines for QR scanning, automatic background removal, and document scanning.

Release 4.2.0 adds batch renaming, export profiles, image-stitching improvements, and additional PDF utilities. Its notes also document corrections for saving into original folders and settings that could cause file loss. The same release adds cache-management settings and previewing of AI tool results before saving.

Decision guide
