LiteSnap
Capture, annotate, save, and pin screenshots through a graphical desktop tool for Windows and macOS.
About this project
LiteSnap combines region capture, annotation, and pinned screenshots in a desktop interface. A global hotkey starts capture; the selected region can be moved or resized before adding text, arrows, shapes, highlighting, or mosaic marks. Results can be copied, saved, or kept in an always-on-top window, and a scrolling-capture mode handles longer content.
The v2.0.1 release currently contains a Windows x64 setup file and a macOS Universal DMG. The current project README says the Mac package is signed and notarized, supports Intel and Apple Silicon, and needs macOS 10.15 or later. macOS requests Screen and System Audio Recording permission before capture.
The v2.0.1 documentation describes Windows pinning that can reuse an always-on-top image window, prompt cancellation of a capture, and pinned images that match the selected region at 100%, 125%, and 150% display scales. The application stays in the system tray until needed, and its global capture shortcut can be customized.
