RepoPrompt Community Edition
RepoPrompt CE is a native macOS app for context engineering and agent orchestration, curating repository files, structure, CodeMaps, and diffs for AI tools.
About this project
RepoPrompt Community Edition is a native macOS app for context engineering and agent orchestration. It assembles reviewable context from selected files, repository structure, CodeMaps and Git diffs, then passes that context to AI tools and CLI agents. Its bundled MCP server also supports searching repositories and inspecting or curating files.
The current documented platform is macOS 26 or later. The public app can be installed through the dedicated Homebrew tap and cask, which uses a promoted signed and notarized updater package rather than compiling the repository. Model services and CLI agents are separate dependencies that need their own installation and login.
The repository is Apache-2.0. Building from source is a different path: it needs Xcode 26 or a matching SDK, and the Finder launchers require full Xcode and Python 3. Local production builds have their own signing limits and are not notarized redistributable packages, so those developer requirements should not be confused with the public cask installation.
