About this project

ServerBox is a client for viewing server status and managing machines through tools such as SSH and SFTP. The interface combines status charts with terminals, files, processes, containers and services. It connects to servers you already control; installing the client does not provide a server or establish access credentials.

The README offers iOS, Android, macOS, Windows and Linux installation paths, with watchOS as a companion. Android has release and F-Droid routes, desktop packages are available from GitHub, and macOS also has Homebrew. The App Store macOS build is for Apple Silicon; a GitHub iOS IPA is unsigned and needs separate signing.

The main code is AGPL-3.0. Access requires server connection credentials and sufficient permissions for the selected operation. Background monitoring features use the separate Monitor agent, so they have an additional server-side component. Client packages, server privileges and optional monitoring should be reviewed as distinct setup decisions.

What it can do

  • Server status charts and metrics
  • SSH terminal and SFTP file tools
  • Container and service management for connected servers

Who it fits

Good for

Checking personal servers from a phone or desktop; Combining SSH, file transfer and status tools

Not a fit

A server provided by the client itself; Managing machines without permission or operational knowledge

Getting started

  1. Choose the official client package for your device and architecture
  2. Add a server you control with the documented connection credentials
  3. Start with status viewing, then configure only the management or Monitor features you need
