About this project

ShareX is a Windows screenshot and screen-recording application. It captures regions, windows and scrolling content, with annotations and video or GIF output for documentation and support work.

After-capture tasks can save locally, copy to the clipboard, open an editor, run OCR or upload to a chosen destination. Configurable hotkeys connect these actions into repeated workflows. QR tools, color tools and image pinning provide additional utilities.

Official downloads include stable installers and portable packages. Uploading is optional and requires reviewing destinations and captured content. Current releases and commits show maintenance, while compatibility and installed behavior were not tested in this review.
