SkillsGate
A desktop visual manager for discovering, installing and editing AI-agent skills across supported tools.
About this project
SkillsGate is a desktop visual manager for AI-agent skills. It connects public discovery through skills.sh with per-agent installation and removal, a built-in raw or rendered skill editor, private local skills and favorites. Supported agents include Claude Code, Cursor, Codex CLI and other documented tools.
The recommended user path is the desktop release for macOS, Windows or Linux, using a DMG, NSIS installer, AppImage or Debian package. The old npm terminal interface is discontinued and no longer receives updates. Local settings and favorites use a SQLite database without an account requirement; remote-server features introduce separate SSH configuration.
The repository is MIT-licensed, but each discovered skill keeps its own instructions, license and permissions. The README warns that macOS versions 0.7.0 or earlier need a manual update to the corrected architecture-specific build. Installing a skill into an agent can influence what that agent reads or does, so the manager does not replace reviewing the skill itself.
