Thunderbird
A desktop client bringing email, calendars and contacts together.
About this project
Thunderbird for desktop brings email, calendars, contacts and tasks into one application. It can manage multiple accounts, with separate account views or a unified inbox for incoming mail. Message organization and search sit alongside scheduling tools, allowing communication and personal plans to be viewed within the same working environment instead of being represented only as email messages.
Calendar functions handle appointments, task tools record things to do, and the address book organizes contacts. Customization options adapt the interface to the way the application is used. The desktop product page presents these as related parts of the product, supporting a workflow that combines handling correspondence with maintaining schedules and the people involved in it.
The website provides distinct entry points for the desktop and Android products, and lists Windows, macOS and Linux for desktop use. It also describes extensions and customization. The product for the relevant device is therefore the starting point for its own features and support material; the separate platform offerings should not be treated as one identical interface or release.
