WeChat Style Extractor
A tool for inspecting WeChat-article visual styles and producing a preview and rich text for reusable templates.
About this project
WeChat Style Extractor reads public WeChat article links and identifies visual parameters such as colors, font sizes, line heights, spacing and content components. It sanitizes and normalizes the fetched HTML, provides an article preview, and can copy rich text for use in an article editor. Its responsive interface can be viewed on desktop or mobile browsers.
The README links an experience website and provides a local Node.js path using npm install and npm run dev, with Node.js 22.13 or later required. The parsing endpoint restricts access to public HTTPS articles on mp.weixin.qq.com and limits redirects, response size and reading time. WeChat can return a security-verification page, which prevents normal parsing.
The code is MIT-licensed, but source articles, images, logos and brand material retain their own rights. Style recognition is heuristic, missing values are omitted or replaced by preview defaults, and copied inline styles are not guaranteed to survive the WeChat editor unchanged. The source repository and the hosted experience site have separate publication paths.
